Re: Why did it delete my download when I selected clear downloads?!

I'm assuming this is Firefox:
Maybe the download failed just before you clicked "Clear Downloads".

Re: stubborn linux users on facebook groups

Facebook is a breeding ground for random comments. I know. I also live in that kind environment. Just ban them.

Re: Linux graphics aneurism

I'm so sick of people not making hardware support for Linux, too.

I just hope people would stop blaming Linux, and call the hardware manufacturers about it.

Ubuntu went from Gnome to Unity and then back to Gnome?
Mint will continue on with MATE, Cinnamon, and XFCE.

Re: If Linux went away, what would you use?

Other:
If Linux went away, then the Mint Team would refactor their project based on BSD.

The point is, FOSS doesn't die that easily. It will reproduce itself.

A Question about Lua Metatable vs. Normal Table

Note: I don't know where to actually ask this, so I'm putting my trust on you guys to either answer me directly, or to refer me to the proper forum/site to ask this. For this example, I'm making a Shape 'class' in Lua that can instantiate a shape that will have (1) a number of corners, and (2) a mo...

Re: How I feel about windows

I'm gonna put this out: Much of my mockery is actually against Microsoft rather than Windows. After all, if they didn't choose to abandon XP, I wouldn't have even entertained the existence of Linux Distros. And by the looks of the "Why You Switched to Mint" thread. Majority of the former Windows use...

Re: vi alternatives?

NotepadQQ - I won't recommend using it yet as it's still very young. But I would recommend watching its development. Here's a FAQ about it: Is this project affiliated with Notepad++? No. This project is independent from Notepad++ and doesn’t use any of its code. Notepadqq is inspired by Notepad++: ...

Re: How I feel about windows

And I thought it's about Windows in general, and not the phone specifically.

If it's concerning the phone: All we need to remember is how many Dead Bodies of Linux phones happened and are happening. Only Android survived.

I haven't even the time to pass the first 4 levels... let alone take a look at world 2. I only remember beating the first boss, but that was Secret Maryo. I no longer have the skills to get there.

Re: Secret Maryo Chronicles question

Maybe what you're missing is that the devs of Secret Maryo have abandoned the game, and moved to create Secret Chronicles of Dr. M - it's basically a refactor of the same game.

Re: Question: How do you reduce video file size with Minimal Loss of Quality

Thanks for the answer! So what is your main concern, reducing file size, or minimal loss of quality? I guess you could say Reducing File Size. I did a little experiment: I recorded myself playing using SimpleScreenRecorder. The output is from the Default MP4 Settings for Youtube. I used OpenShot cut...

[SOLVED] Question: How do you reduce video file size with Minimal Loss of Quality

Okay, so I'm new to this Video Editing gig. So I don't know why my processed videos get a file size from 300 MB to 1 GB even for just CUTTING OUT PARTS of the original.

The simplest solution I got is to use a software - something like HandBrake. But if you guys have other suggestions, please do so.
