Re: [Solved] Two Networks

I am rookie at this and am a little OCD so please bear with me. If I want all 192.168.2. requests to go through wlp0s26u1u1 then why doesn't that entry in the table look like: 192.168.2.0 0.0.0.0 255.255.255.0 U 100 0 0 wlp0s26u1u1 Kernel IP routing table Destination Gateway Genmask Flags Metric Ref...

Re: Can I run MS Access 2003 through Steam?

I use Access for two non-profits I do volunteer work for. I started with Wine went to Crossover and finally reached a stable solution running Windows and MSOffice in a virtual machine. So if you have a your Windows and MSOffice disks your good to go. Most people use VirtualBox, I happen to use VMWar...

Re: Kernel Errors

I've done the file system check a few times with no errors. The other thing that happens that I think I failed to mention is sometimes on a return from Suspend the Display Manager is being restarted. Laurent85, I hope I'm not out of line but I can't find a way to send you a message. Is it possible f...

Re: Two Networks

I found this posting: https://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?t=224152#p1181281 And it looks like I'm making headway to getting the settings to be persistent. The Routing Table now looks like this: Kernel IP routing table Destination Gateway Genmask Flags Metric Ref Use Iface 0.0.0.0 192.168.1.1 ...

[Solved] Suspend Failures

Thanks for bringing me back to earth Freedom Truth. I was in denial and should have realized what was wrong. I had recently added an app that allowed me to mount my Google Drive. That was the culprit.

[Solved] Suspend Failures

Running Mint 19 XFCE with Kernel x86_64 Linux 4.15.0-32-generic and I'm having a 'Suspend' problem. If I initiate a suspend through the menu system or the terminal I have no problems. When the 'Suspend' is initiated by the XFCE Power Manager the vast majority of the time it fails. This has been happ...

Re: Debounce Mouse?

This is super 'hanspr'! To finally hear from someone who has made some progress is terrific. I am currently using a very cheap wired mouse and I have no problems at all. The moment I try to use my more expensive Logitech wireless mouse the problem returns. Before I go ahead and try your recommendati...

Re: UFW Blocks samba

I had forgotten about this post since the work around last December. Since upgrading to 4.13 Kernel I no longer have to disable UFW to connect with Nemo using File>Connect to Server... Once I do this I create a Bookmark and then I'm good forever. So you are correct altair4 Step 1 is no longer needed...

Re: Swap partition accidentally formatted on LM KDE Sylvia 64bit.

You should be able to repair this with GParted. Be very careful one wrong move and you can brick it.

Re: Can't start up after last update.

I'm not going to pretend like I understand anything in the log file you posted but I will share this with you. I was successfully (and happily) running Mint 18.3 Cinnamon and when I did the 4.13 kernel upgrade it just ruined my system. Even a rollback from Timeshift did not help. I found out some ot...

Re: Debounce Mouse?

There is a link to the patch in blog.guntram.de . The problem is that the link is for the Ubuntu 14.04 version of the patch. If you are on Mint 18.3 (Ubuntu 16.04) that's not going to work. I have posted on the blog a request for someone to create the .deb file with the updated patch. If I hear anyt...

Re: Debounce Mouse?

I have the mouse problem with my system. I have three Logitech M510 units, two which are essentially brand new. All three work fine with Win in a VM. I'm running Mint 18.3 XFCE (also tried Cinnamon) and all three need to be debounced for working in Mint. I have looked at blog.guntram.de/?p=16 and it...

USB Mixer [Solved]

The problem was resolved once I found: http://jackaudio.org/faq/multiple_devices.html and got pointed to the ALSA commands 'alsa_in' and 'alsa_out'. I then found this very clear and concise explanation of the command usage that addressed exactly what I wanted to accomplish http://www.penguinproducer...
