Well, drat. I couldn't get Cinnamon installed because the expected choice to install it "alongside Windows" wasn't there. None of the options even suggested a way to do a dual boot. I even went online and found a site that said "How to install Linux Mint alongside Windows" but those instructions me...

I like clean... KDE is rather heavy on the customisations, so it might not be what you're looking for. Xfce, Mate, and Cinnamon are much "cleaner" in my experience. There again, you may love KDE.
