Re: Thunderbird 68.3.1

I did follow the instructions as I found them from your email. It did install the proper version. That said, I was unable to convince it to accept the profile from the Windows version. For years I have been able to transfer the profile (same name) from Linux to Windows as I needed. Yes, there are ti...

Re: Thunderbird 68.3.1

The only way out I have found that actually works is to boot into Windows and wait and wait and wait until the repository catches up with the real world.

Thunderbird 68.3.1

When will Thunderbird 6.3.1 be available in the repository? The profiles in 68.2.2 are not compatible with the new 6.3.1. This causes a major failure when dual booting and moving profiles between OS.

Selection of audio output

In another thread, a lot of explanation and testing was done. The problem is the selection of on line built-in audio on a forever basis. On my machine, it needs to be reset every boot-up. I see no reason for this problem and all the testing - it is a problem that did not exist prior to the installat...

Re: LM 19.2 select USB headphones always

My microphone is USB and is always selected - works great. The audio I use is line out built-in - but, it must be selected after every reboot. Seems it is a small problem that I can overcome by manually selecting after booting up. Trying to configure 19.2 to understand this is beyond me. Previous ve...

Re: LM 19.2 select USB headphones always

Interesting question, as I would like to make "line out built-in audio" as my selection at all times. Currently, my selection does not survive a reboot and must always be selected for each session. Suggestions?

Re: When for FF 66.0.4?

Should be when for Firefox 66.0.5!!

Why is the repository for Mint so slow? And, before some jerk responds saying do this or that as a workaround, I am running Mint and see no reason for subverting it with changes or workarounds. If I wanted to use a different distro, I would do so.

Speculation and suspicion are what cause searches for evidence. Shutting down same is merely a means to thwart a search for evidence.

Re: When for FF 66.0.4?

Any estimate in 66.0.4 getting into the repository? Fortunately, I dual boot and can use Windows 10 when needed. It is already updated and the game playing has ended. So far as alternative browsers - Firefox was the least evil in the past and easiest to navigate. It was secure and trustworthy - not ...

Re: When for FF 66.0.4?

I noticed there is no "easy" means to turn off Firefox updates. kind of sounds like Microsoft. Must be they have something really important they want loaded on our computers. Food for thought folks!!!
