Posting Images in Forum - Made Easy
Greetings Minters! I had no idea how to post a picture or image on a post. :? After some reading on the forum, I following the suggestion of using "rimg" tab. The "rimg" tab is above to the far right; then go to your picture file and drag the object onto the white posting box. If...

Re: IPv4 Address Changes & No Internet
Ali Novian, thank you for your thanks. Currently, I am having no issues with either Mint 20 and Manjaro. I do not know why but under the Identity tab, Mint shows a MAC Address, however, in Manjaro, the MAC address is blank. :? :? I seriously doubt I will ever come up with an answer. The Mx...

Re: Mint 20 no colour printing.
I did download dat file, however, it came up "read only." I did not change any settings to the file system. I must have the Mint 20 torture edition. Yesterday, I received all of my DVD OS from linuxonline, so I am seriously considering just doing a reinstall of 20. :D I now regret leaving ...

Re: Mint 20 no colour printing.

It is now good dat I reinstalled OS7, as Linux is providing to have numerous defects. What this tell me that manufacturers have no interest in providing drivers for equipme...

When I press the test page I get a colour copy :?: :?: :?: But when I try to print a regular page in col our, it only prints black and white.   Now I can see why duckduckgo could not find any links to fix this problem....

Re: IPv4 Address Changes & No Internet
I believe now this maybe a browser setting issue within FF, however, I am going to wait for a full week of use with both MX-Linux and Mint 20, to see if in fact it is the problem. I have monkeyed with this setting before with no positive results. There is little in the way of information, as to what...

Re: IPv4 Address Changes & No Internet
Well, Sleeper, I spoke to early. I am still having on and off issues. The only thing that has changed, is I do not get two different dialogue boxes for setting the network. Even the working MX-Linux now will not connect. It was either a bad download ; operator error; or defects in Linux. I did find ...

Re: IPv4 Address Changes & No Internet
Thanks so much, Sleeper ! The clue for me was dat my MicroGates 7 was functioning with the network correction perfectly. This told me that I had an issue with a Mint setting and that it was more my doing than the OS itself. BTW, I go Instructables.com each and every day. It is a wonderful website wi...

Re: IPv4 Address Changes & No Internet
It is nice to score a victory every once in a while. At this point, the changing of the IPv4 address is not germane. The reason my Internet was dropping or not working at all, was that I had placed both Cloud Flare IPs in the same DNS box. After placing 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1 in separate boxes the prob...

Re: [Solved] USB Flash Drive
"Hear is the deal," after more time researching the inability to write to a flash drive I have found some more material. "New external partitions. Formatting a new partition with ext4 requires root permissions, which can lead to unexpected or undesired result of the regular user not b...

[Solved] USB Flash Drive
Thank you both Diapason and AndyMH for the important
comments. I am archiving this thread. :<)
Beside not spelling flash correctly, I did find an additional
link that I think may prove to be very useful.
