...... I finally have overcome my fear of the terminal. ..... My first lesson with the Linux Command Line PDF was a warning NOT to use spaces in filenames. That is a habit I had copied from Windows. I now understand why it is better not to use spaces. It may seem like a little thing, but knowledge ...

I've never experienced " tearing " on any hardware / OS combination but it always makes me curious ....

Is that pronounced as in tear from the eyes , or as in tear a piece of paper ?

Excellent stuff - thanks for posting ! I've just checked my version and it's 2.4.2-10 , so I'll grab the updated version right now . It has never put a foot wrong ( so far ) but I haven't needed to try it with Mint19 , mainly because I'm still trying hard to like 19 enough to bother using it :D You ...

Re: [SOLVED]Using external antenna on router

Just a side note -
You can make an effective directional wifi antenna out of the tube that a well-known brand of "pseudo potato chips" comes in .

The tube is already lined in foil , has a metal base and is pretty much the right diameter !
Google will surely locate a "how-to " guide ..... :D

Interesting topic to read , but so many acronyms !
( my ageing brain does not cope well with all the "incoming info " of the modern age ) .

Some I worked out ( slowly ) , but what is EEE ?

And yes , I could have googled it .....
