Re: chrome or firefox?

None of them. Use Waterfox. It is based on Mozilla Firefox, but it is working like Swiss watch.

Re: Samsung Express M2070FW trouble with LM 19.1

My Samsung Express M2070FW start FINALLY working. I found solution here in this forum! After installing universal Samsung printer/scanner uld_V1.00.39_01.17 driver, I used this command: cd /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/sane sudo ln -s /opt/smfp-common/scanner/lib/libsane-smfp.so.1.0.1 /usr/lib/x86_64-li...

Re: Disabling hibernation

gm10, thanx for answer. This is my situation: when no activity on screen - when I'm reading something, for example - screen is going black. Movement with mouse will bring windows asking for password. Is it sleep or hibernation? I don't know. Any idea how to fix it. Thanx in advance.

Re: Disabling hibernation

Pjotr, I did tried your command. This is what I get: mv: cannot stat '/etc/polkit-1/localauthority/50-local.d/com.ubuntu.enable-hibernate.pkla': No such file or directory.
Any other idea? Thanx in advance.

Re: Insane sliders in LM 18.3 and LM 19.1

Maybe I did not clearly explain myself about customization. When I used Mint Y theme there was available setting for changing fonts just for Mint Y theme. Same about colours just for that theme. Same for any of available themes there. There is nothing like that in themes any more. So this customizat...

Re: Insane sliders in LM 18.3 and LM 19.1

Thanx for your reply....But themes were customizable. I was able to chose Fonts and Colour. Not any more. I did not need to make sliders thicker, there were OK. Not everyone after 60 have 20/20 vision. Lots of people on this forum are using just right this argument, so it is not personal taste, but ...

Re: Insane sliders in LM 18.3 and LM 19.1

Exactly my point. Why should I have to use another theme, instead of customize the one I chosen and used for years for reason? Why Linux removing all those customizations? Hibernation is just another example. I'm not using hibernation and in Power Manager I cannot make any settings to prevent hibern...

Re: Insane sliders in LM 18.3 and LM 19.1

I asked several times about those sliders on LM blog where they announcing new versions. It is ignored for years. When I installed LM 18.3 Mate very firs time sliders were OK. After all those updates those sliders become micro in size. When LM released version 19, I complained again. NOTHING. When t...

Disabling hibernation

Do anyone know how to disable (KILL) hibernation in LM 18.3 Mate? Power manager is doing NOTHING to help me. It is extremely annoying to enter password every 5 minutes. When I freshly installed (again) LM18.3 this problem was non-existing. After all those update LM18.3 start having problems!!! Thanx...
