Re: Trying to run a few old games

AMD and Nvidia, need a play nice together solution.

Been surfing the web for a way to set up AMD and Nvidia to both work. Found a good one but it was Arch based so I got lost just reading the command lines:P. But they did explain that Nvidia tends to pooh-pooh all over openGL to make dual brand difficult. This is ok as i wan to run my APU on open sou...

Re: Howto install AMD fglrx driver in LM 18.X (Sarah/Serena/Sonya)

Wow great. May have to pull the old 280x out of the closet and give this a spin. If I can pull this off with 280x and my APU, will surely update the sticky I made.

If there is a god, fglrx as well as stable amdgpu-pro in driver manager for Mint 19.

Re: Folding@home-Team Linux Mint-76140

With my media center PSU dead, I am going to take advantage and combine my 2 rigs. My end goal is going to be the system running off the APU and the GPU stand alone. How much driver conflict am i going to have with running amd and nvidia drivers? The bios is set to apu usage, going to assume pluggin...

Re: Nvidia dual GPU overclocking and monitor management

My experience with coolbits (GUI) has been the cards run at the boost rated speeds by default in linux. Coolbits can tweak for a bit more but in general not worth it. Then again i Fold and not Mining. You would more than likely get the same output by going headless versus stressing hardware. ( minin...

Re: [Solved] Need new case - how to find correct one for motherboard?

With sites like newegg, you can use filters to search cases. The highlight being, if you dont know what you have you can filter for ATX midtower. From there select board compatability of atx, matx, itx, mitx. Some atx cases fit all sizes of boards, minus the Eatx which is more akin to a server size boa...

Would say XFCE as well. Not only for looks, but stability as well. XP was the most stable windex product. Xfce has the best stability of the DE's.

At first glance this is not new. Downloading malicious software has always been around, as well as the vulnerabilities in web browsers. People clicking bad links and install packages is also not new.

Re: I got fired from my job last week because of my autism :(

I work with a guy who is mentally handicapped. In the States, if your employer knows you have a disability, it is their obligation to move you to a position you are capable of doing. You state your previous job you handled well. They should have moved you back to that position. They MAY be in violat...

FYI I just upgraded to 18.3 a few days ago, and sadly there is only 1 driver listed beyond the open source driver. Makes me sad.
