Re: Some programs I need

System: Host: MLM18PC Kernel: 4.4.0-47-generic x86_64 (64 bit gcc: 5.4.0) Desktop: Cinnamon 3.0...

Re: Some programs I need

Ok I understood what i have to do for filebot and Plex. Cuetools I use to use in windows the GUI version. I'd prefer to have a program with gui as that is what I'm most comfortable with. How does Wine work exactly? Also, I read that wine can introduce security problems as it exposes your system to w...

Re: How do I mount a media storage drive?

Ok, thats great, now I am able to access and mount that drive. Not sure how this works yet, but do you know how to create folders to that drive? Since you seem to be able to see the drive I assume it is mounted. Navigate to /media/your_username The directory of the drive should be there with it's n...

Re: How do I mount a media storage drive?

sdb disk 1.8T It seems your 2TB drive has no partition and Mint detects no filesystem. You may run a filesystem check from Windows. Right there shouldn't be any file system on it because i remember wiping the data from it before installing linux mint. I'm wondering how am I able to use this drive a...

I see, nothing for the corsair mouse either? How about for the LED light problem. When I press the LED button on keyboard ...

Re: High Risk Updates

Well thank you all for the helpful advice! I decided I'm going to install all security and kernel updates. If something goes wrong I'll probably come running back here for help :D . Worst case scenario is I have to do a clean install if something gets severely screwed up, right?

Re: Printer will print, but won't scan.

Which "scanning app" are you using? I am a fan of "Simple Scan" but have not had any scanning experience on LM18... Yes that is the scanning app that I've tried to use. It came default with Linux Mint Cinnamon 18. It won't scan unless I open it up with root. I figure it is connected via USB? Check ...

Printer will print, but won't scan. <Solved>

I finally decided to take the plunge and install Linux Mint 18 not to long ago, when I had time and after doing some research. I installed the Cinnamon 64-bit version. Everything seems to be going smoothly except a few things. One of them is the printer. I have a Brother MFC-L2700DW Printer. I follo...
