Strange, I don't have have Banshee and Tomboy. I ran: "sudo apt-get remove mono-runtime-common", and got: The following packages were automatically installed and are no longer required: fonts-liberation libmyth-0.27-0 libmyth-python libva-glx1 libxml-libxml-perl libxml-namespacesupport-perl libxml-p...

If you don't recommend it then what is the easiest way to remote access ...

Re: F.lux for Linux Mint

I found 'Run redshift' in the menu but when I click on it nothing happens.
(Strangely it did not appear because I typed it in capital letters. That's weird!!!)

Re: For security reason Mono should be uninstalled

For a newbie like me it's difficult to say if I need it or not...Since it was already installed perhaps I should leave, because if I remove it it might create troubles, don't you think so? Otherwise I downloaded and installed Teamviewer from https://www.teamviewer.com/en/download/linux/ BUT I discov...

<SOLVED> For security reason Mono should be uninstalled

Here https://sites.google.com/site/easylinuxtipsproject/security I read that sometimes Mono is installed automatically whenever an application needs the Mono infrastructure (like media player Banshee and notes app Tomboy) and for security reason it should be uninstalled with: sudo apt-get remove mon...

Ok, thanks.
In the Software Manager I have found Redshift but there are 2 GUI for it, one is Redshift-GTK and the other one is GTK-Redshift. Is it the same thing?

F.lux for Linux Mint

Hi Everyone, I am new here and in Linux world as well. I was amazed when my friend who is a Linux Mint user said he does not have an antivirus nor has activated the firewall, so I recently install Linux Mint on my second computer and I really start to love it (although sometimes I am a bit confused ...
