Re: Battery display issue in Gloria

Jaspmatt,

the battery level is always 0%. Since the moment I boot the system.

I can use the notebook on battery just fine but it doesn`t show my battery level right. It`s always 0.
It sucks to use a notebook when you don`t know how long your battery is gonna last.

Any ideas?

Re: SKYPE on Mint 7

As far as I know thre is no Skype 4 for Linux.

Are you using skype 4 for windows through Wine? If that`s the case, I suggest you to use the skype 2 for Linux cause skype doesn`t work right through wine.

Re: Disable Splash Screens

To remove the splash screen during the boot edit /boot/grub/menu.lst file

Erase the words “quiet splash” and then save.

Reboot your system and it should load without the splash screen.

Is the flash and java installed for firefox?

I also use both of them. Opera as my primary browser and firefox as my second.
Uninstall all the default flash package and installed only flash-plugin non-free, swfdec-mozilla and libswfdec-0.8-0. Also install sun-java6.plugin and java-common.
