A question about the swap partition: Fred recommends putting the swap partition first, as it's faster that way. Yet on the default installation partition setup, the swap partition is last. I was just wondering why that's the case? Oh and a hint, if you're moving your partitions around post-installat...

OK so when I installed, I let the installer do it's "guided - use entire disk" thing... before reading this thread. Is there any way to reorganise to a sensible partition scheme without scrapping the install and starting again? No big deal if not; after all, I only installed yesterday :lol:

Linux Mint newbie and loving it!

Hi there everyone, I've just installed Linux Mint on my brand new Dell Inspiron 1545 -- and everything just works right out of the box. Thanks guys!

I'm not a total Linux newb, I was expecting to have to (at least) tweak etc/X11/xorg.conf but no! Even WiFi just works!

I'm loving this distro!
