Re: Where is the best place to buy hardware?

I know that with newegg you get your product pretty quickly by UPS. Amazon uses FedEx and it takes about three times as
long to arrive.

Re: kmail 4.9.4 - smtp doesn't work

I tried kmail about a week and a half ago and couldn't get it to work right but that stupid kwallet has bugged
me and hounded me ever since. Thunderbird is 10 times better IMO. Sorry I wasn't any help. Just felt like
ranting a little. :)

Re: Mint 14 KDE RC: SoftwareManager sub-titles too small to

Hi guys, In a terminal type "kdesudo systemsettings" then enter your password when prompted.
Then open Application Appearance / fonts, and set your desired font. That will fix the font size issue in synaptic.

Re: Mint 14 KDE?

With that rig I wouldn't use anything but 64 bit. 32 bit might haver been more stable a couple of years ago but I don't think so now. My rig is a AMD Phenom ll quad core with six gigs of ram and it runs 64 bit KDE flawlessly. In fact I think this is the best system I've had to date. If you're just s...

Re: <SOLVED> Smooth tasks plasma widget

Did you click the search button and type in "smooth tasks"? I'm actually using Mint 14 KDE, but I went straight from 12 to 14 because I didn't care much
for 13. However, I did install smooth tasks in 12 and it's there in 14, so I figure it has to be there in 13. 8)

Re: Mint 14 KDE?

I just upgraded to KDE 4.9.4 and it's like a work of art. Even 4.9.2 was great. This is the first kde I've ever had
where that horrible device manager actually works like it's supposed to. Mint 14 KDE is the cat's meow!

Note to devs; Don't change it. Just release it! :D

All you had to do is open synaptic and type smooth tasks in the search. It's in there. :D It's listed as
plasma-widget-smooth-tasks

Re: Is it possible to install KDE on Mint 14 without a reins

Partly from here. http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.p ... 28#p655809
I guess I figure going from cinnamon to KDE is always an upgrade. Yes you can install kde on it, but it won't be Mint KDE.

Re: Is it possible to install KDE on Mint 14 without a reins

It isn't recommended. It's quicker to download and install Mint KDE and you get a much better system. Trying to install mint on top of cinnamon
will give you problems and you run a risk of borking them both. 8)

I installed Mint-14 64 bit on my desktop AMD Phenom quad core, 6 gigs of ram, Nvidia Quadro FX 1500, Sound Blaster Audigy and everything is
working flawlessly . I'm loving it! 8)
