Re: Dual Booting Mint 64 bit problem

Cheers MintyO Looks like I'm screwed. There is no 'apply' on the screen I'm on. Just to rub salt in the wound - now none of the menus along the top work (device - partition - help) I'm off to Luxembourg for a cake n coffee to cool off and hope the good Mint fairy looks kindly on me and sorts itself ...

Re: Dual Booting Mint 64 bit problem

Hi All Thanks for the input so far. I am at this impasse since this is where the dvd I purchased (Linux Mint, Debian, lmde2 DVD, 64 bit) led me. I certainly wasn't going to go through the pain of doing a download and faffing around again ! Thought I had this cracked by doing hours of research but ne...

Dual Booting Mint 64 bit problem SOLVED

Not so much SOLVED as abandoned! Don't bother trying to dual boot - buy a new HDD and load onto that and use the old HDD as a slave to access your data.. Hi All Yep - still with the programme! Trying to dual boot on my W10. Got to the partition ok but now in Gparted and can't see where to go next. I...

Solved Broadband connection

Well - I got it to work. I must be on the path to being a genius - not!

I removed all reference to the router and started again and hey presto. Probably more luck than judgment.

Cheers.

Broadband connection

Hi

Installed Mint 18 Sarah 32bit.

I have connected, for the first time, to internet via wifi whilst abroad - no problem. Returning home it won't connect to my router. Mint knows the router is there but won't connect via wifi.

Any ideas?

Hi all. I'm still with the program! Can anyone point me in the right direction for an Epson DX4000 driver and how to install it? When I had a go at this it appears i need a driver and then some software to install it? I need a 32 bit and a 64 bit version. I'm afraid I'm lost in some of the technical...

Re: What are your top tips for a Newbie?

Hi fellow newbie! Bottom line : Take the easy route and buy the installation CD online! See below for Windows 10 BIOS for a dual boot. But stick with it. From my experience, probably your first obstacle will be downloading the software, burning to a cd or usb and trying to get it to work. I bet if y...
