Re: Why so few webrowsers? Any other recommended repos?

Only open source browsers are in the software manager - if it is not open source you such as Goggle Chrome, Opera, Waterfox, Slimjet and some others you will have to go to there respective websites and add it via PPA or download the deb file if they offer it.

hope this helps

Re: Revert back to windows 10

First of all, you need to create a partition for Windows installation files. It should be at least 2gb bigger than Windows iso. I use 20Gbs Install a tool for work with NTFS: sudo apt-get install ntfs-3g Format partition in NTFS: sudo mkfs.ntfs /dev/sdxx Copy installation files to partition: sudo wi...

Re: Linux Mint has bad symptoms--corrupt? What to do?

From this error
On running rebuild all packages again, it failed with page of:
"failed to fetch archive.ubuntu.com.."
"failed to fetch archive.unbuntu.security.com

Seems to me you have duplicate or corrupted entries in your sources.list

Please post back from the following

Code: Select all

cat /etc/apt/sources.list

Re: Recording Skype impossible

I see in the photo "snapd.failure.service is disabled or a static unit" this usually happens when apt-get is looking for updates at the same time you run snapd - generally wait for apt-get to finish then run your snapd or try to install anything else for that matter- so I don't believe it is a Skype...

Re: Swapping Graphics Cards - Nvidia to AMD

Think I would purge the NVIDIA drivers first since they would no longer be needed - then shutdown - then swap out the card - and then install the new card - then new drivers if need be

Code: Select all

sudo apt --purge autoremove nvidia*
Hope this helps

Probably the AMD drivers are not quite ready for the latest Kernels - since it works in 4.15 and not 5.0 - have you tried it with 5.1.4 kernel? I get my kernels from here
