Re: Foxclone - linux image backup, restore & clone

why so many folders Because you get one image file plus log file per partition and you have two partitions in your LM20 install. looking at your other screenshots you seem to have managed to get a franken-install of LM20: You've got a legacy partition table (you have an extended partition), but... ...

Re: extra partitions in mint 20

I did a clean Install of Cinnamon 20 with NO Partitions and get this... https://i.imgur.com/d1MpqQ4.png?1 What's going on here...I've never seen this before especially when I always choose "Erase Disk and Install Linux". I'll be staying with Cinnamon 19.1 because "New" isn't necessarily good. https:...

Re: Linux Mint 20 success or issues

I did a clean Install of Cinnamon 20 on a spare 500GB SSD in my Tower and it runs well. Not keen on some of the changes...so I'll be staying with Cinnamon 19.1 as it's supported till 2023. :)

Re: LM 20 Worst Upgrade Experience EVER!

I only Upgraded once...Cinnamon 18.2 to 18.3 and things didn't work. Image So it's now always a clean Install for me...on a spare HDD or SSD because I might not like the new version either.

Re: <Solved> Timeshift is a sad joke

I and a few others on this Forum have said...Timeshift is not a Back-up tool and now you know why. https://www.picgifs.com/emoticons/smileys-and-emoticons/sad/smileys-sad-448677.gif Once you Upgrade...you can't go back if something happens...that's why they say "Do so at your own Risk". Looks ...

Re: question about partitions

When I do a Clean Install of Linux Mint or any Distro on my 500GB HDD or SSD...I always choose "Erase Disk and Install Linux". This gives you one Partition (Root) on the Drive and you'll never get problems. :D

I have never done this and see no reason to do so...I also have only one partition too and never had problems but that's me. Image

Re: Back up in LM 20 Cinnamon

I can't believe people think Timeshift is a Backup Tool...even when the guy who developed it says it's not a Backup Tool. https://www.picgifs.com/emoticons/smileys-and-emoticons/confused/smileys-confused-483915.gif If after looking this...https://teejeetech.in/timeshift/ you want to use it as a Bac...
