Re: Wifi and Wired networks stopped working

When wifi works, post:

Code: Select all

 inxi -Fxxxz && iwconfig
I'm still not sure what's causing the problem. You might want to disconnect from tethering & wired to see if that keeps wifi connected.

Re: Linksys AC1200 WiFi 5 USB Adapter

You can try this, one line at a time:

Code: Select all

sudo apt install git dkms
git clone https://github.com/aircrack-ng/rtl8812au.git
cd rtl8812au
sudo ./dkms-install.sh

Reboot

Re: Wifi and Wired networks stopped working

Can you post those command results again in my first post while wifi is working? That will at least give us something to go on if it should stop again.

Re: Wifi and Wired networks stopped working

See if restarting network manager gets things going:

Code: Select all

 sudo service network-manager restart
If not, shut the machine down & restart your router. See if that helps.

Re: Wifi and Wired networks stopped working

It's hard to say what to do when no wifi card is showing. Maybe it's dead, but you say it works sometimes?

Re: Wifi and Wired networks stopped working

I see no mention of a wifi adapter there. Does Fn & PrtScr turn wifi on?

Re: dongle wifi rtl8812au ne fonctionne pas

Essayez ceci, une ligne à la fois: sudo apt install git dkms git clone https://github.com/cilynx/rtl88x2BU.git cd rtl88x2bu VER=$(sed -n 's/\PACKAGE_VERSION="\(.*\)"/\1/p' dkms.conf) sudo rsync -rvhP ./ /usr/src/rtl88x2bu-${VER} sudo dkms add -m rtl88x2bu -v ${VER} sudo dkms build -m rtl88x2bu -v ${...

OK bien. Je devais juste faire ça sur mes machines, tellement content que ça a fonctionné pour toi aussi. :)

Re: Mint Update (SOLVED)

Mon erreur encore, faites:

Code: Select all

 find $HOME ! -user $USER

Code: Select all

 sudo chown -R $USER:$USER $HOME

Code: Select all

 find $HOME ! -user $USER
Devrait être vide maintenant.

Re: Mint Update (SOLVED)

L'ordre que j'ai donné s'est trompé. Faites-le pour le fixer :

Code: Select all

 sudo chown-R $USER:$USER $HOME
Cela ne devrait maintenant montrer rien:

Code: Select all

 find ~/ -user root

Re: Can I Check Installed Updates w/Terminal Commands

No, I have no solution for that. You could try a live session of Mint 19.2 & see if it works any better with the 4.15 kernel.

Re: Broadcom 4312 Problem in Mint 19.3 32 bit

Ok, good. :) Unless the 5.4 kernel gives you problems, no need to change to 4.15.

Re: everything is now owned by root?

Here I am back bringing good news: The incorrect chown commandline, which I had posted long ago and which got reposted in this thread, will do no harm. chown will only display an error message and exit, without having changed anything. mint@mint $ sudo chown -R $HOME $USER:$USER chown: invalid user...
