Re: Can't install programs - dependency errors

Maybe this will help for audacity:

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get purge audacity
apt-get clean
apt-get install audacity

Try this for Cherrytree:

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get purge cherrytree
apt-get clean
apt-get install cherrytree
Same result. Cleansed files in the system but couldn't install due to dependencies
Ok, so try what MrEen said for cherrytree.

There's still no focal version available via the repos. I think it'll be there soon.
Ok, I'm not familiar with either cherrytree or audacity. Would that be the case for audacity too?

Re: Can't install programs - dependency errors

I think that command needs sudo:

Code: Select all

 sudo apt --fix-broken install
Or try:

Code: Select all

 sudo dpkg --configure -a

Code: Select all

 sudo apt install -f

Power Management maybe? It should be off:
https://easylinuxtipsproject.blogspot.c ... html#ID2.1

If not that, post results of;

Code: Select all

 inxi -Fxz

Re: ralink wireless network not present

It might help us to see your system details. With the dongle plugged in, post the results of:

Code: Select all

 inxi -Fxz

Code: Select all

 rfkill list

Code: Select all

 lsusb

Code: Select all

 mokutil --sb-state

I see no mention of a wifi adapter in your machine. What does this show:

Code: Select all

lspci -nnk | grep -iA3 net

Try to use a former kernel.

Re: Wifi suddenly stopped working (Linux Mint 19.3)

I'm not seeing anything to show what is causing the problem. Let's try reloading the wifi driver:

Code: Select all

 sudo modprobe -r iwlwifi

Code: Select all

 sudo modprobe iwlwifi

Did the kernel get updated in the last day or so or is that the same kernel you've been on?
