Re: My WiFi is connected but I don't access to the internet

I don't see an obvious problem showing. Maybe you'd have better luck with Mint 19.2 that has the 4.15 kernel. You could boot into a live session of 19.2 & see if wifi works there.

Re: RTL8723BS / no Wifi

Ok, that's a bit over my head, but might bluetooth be blocking wifi?

Do you have a wifi card in that machine? I don't see any mentioned.

See if you can get a temporary connection:

Then post your system details:

Code: Select all

 inxi -Fxz

Code: Select all

Re: Wifi option not showing in network settings

If secure boot is enabled, disable it in Bios. This will tell:

Code: Select all

 mokutil --sb-state

Re: Network: Device-2: Qualcomm Atheros QCA9377 802.11ac Wireless Network Adapter vendor: Lenovo driver: N/A po

See if this does any good:

Code: Select all

 sudo apt update

Code: Select all

 sudo apt install --reinstall linux-firmware
Reboot

Another thought, if secure boot is enabled, disable it in Bios. This will tell:

Code: Select all

 mokutil --sb-state

Just a guess, but maybe Bluetooth is blocking wifi? See # 1.4.3 here:

Is the driver available in Driver Manager? I think it's the ath10k_pci you need.

If not, what does this show:

Code: Select all

Re: Wifi doesn't work after laptop died

Edit: I just noticed you're on the unsupported 5.0 kernel. You might want to install the 5.4 kernel before you get the wifi driver.

It looks like you lost the wifi driver. With a temporary internet connection, do #7 here:

You need to post the laptop's system details:

Code: Select all

Code: Select all

 rfkill list

Code: Select all

 mokutil --sb-state
If you need a temporary internet connection, use phone tethering:

Maybe this will help for audacity:

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get purge audacity
apt-get clean
apt-get install audacity
Worked for Audacity! Thanks :)
Ok, good. That's half the battle.
