Get rid Chrome and Download Firefox You should try Linux Mint some time... it comes with Firefox pre-installed. :wink: I am running Linux Mint 18.2 Sonya Cinnamon, and have been doing so for at least a month now, and ran it dual boot with Windows 7 for over a Year. But Windows 7 Pro got the boot.

I run Linux Mint 18.2 Sonya Cinnamon on my computer, which I call my Video Editing Machine. I use Kdenlive. Use your software Manager and in the search area enter Kdenlive, then download the 3 files that show up once you press enter. Then search Kdenlive on You-tube for help of all kind. I run a LAN. I have an old computer case, I put a new Motherboard, an Intel I5 CPU and several 2 TB hard drives and installed Freenas on a old 320 GB drive I had. we access via the internet, using our browser we just enter a URL and it is there, From Phones to computers.

I had problems with my Linux Mint installation, so I made a decision and that is Goodbye Windows. This i now a Linux Mint 18.2 Sonya Cinnamon machine only. I now press Start, nothing appears but the Linux Mint Sign and it boot up in about 40 seconds.

I do wonder, is there a App or Program that runs on Linux, that does the same thing Defagler does on the Windows side? This Program defrages disks so your computer runs a bit easier

Format an External Drive

How in Linux Mint 18.2 Sonya Cinnamon does one format a drive that is hooked by USB to your computer? I open my computer, it sees the drive, but I acidently installed a version of Linux on it and I just want to get rid of it.

Yesterday I went downstairs and hooked her computer back up to the tv and played around with a few thing and got it working fine, both screens now show the same thing. Thanks for the help

We are not using the VGA port, we are using an HDMI cable to a HDMI port on a flat screen TV.
