Having converted successfully an old Acer W7 laptop into Mint on a new SSD from an official CD, I've tried the same with my sisters old Asus W7 laptop using the same CD....The screen image is double what it should be.....I've tried to adjust it in the "display" options screen but all it will do is e...

Along with many other packages, I recently downloaded the 'YouTube downloader' software from the Mint Apps list.......Maybe I've missed something, but, to use it, I cannot find it in the menu.

@ mr_raider.......Upon reading your comment, I am wondering why you suggest not using ACER as a suitable machine for Linux......I recently converted my old ACER 5536 bought in 2009 having W7 as its OS....I installed a new SSD and loaded Mint as its only OS......Knowing Linux is a learning curve for ...

As an aside, I have now found out that using Libre Office software on a Spanish keyboard layout that has Windows as its OS also uses the same locations for the "@" symbol.

Spanish keyboard layout (Solved)

Having replaced Windows 7 with Mint on a clean SSD, I find the "at" symbol does not function.......My laptop has a Spanish keyboard which means the location for this symbol is :- Ctrl+Alt+2 During the installation from CD I specified the Spanish version which included the correct keyboard layout.......
