Uninstalled/Reinstalled, same situation.
At least I can sudo ConvertAll in the Terminal to get it to work.
What part of Mississippi are you from?
Thanks again.

Re: ConvertAll Won't Run After LM18.3 Upgrade
Thanks for the info. python3-pyqt4 is already installed on my system.
I'll remove it, then reinstall to see if it fixes these issues.

Re: Where can I change the command to execute when I press the XF86Calculator keyboard combination?
After upgrading from LM18.2 to LM18.3, ConvertAll would not run anymore.
After running ConvertAll via the Terminal as root (sudo -i), ConvertAll runs now.
sudo -i convertall
No more "Segmentation fault" errors.

ConvertAll Won't Run After LM18.3 Upgrade
ConvertAll was working fine on LM18.2 Cinnamon 64-bit, on 3 laptops. Now, after upgrading to LM18.3 Cinnamon 64-bit, the program will not open. When running via Menu/Accessories/ConvertAll, the program does not open. When running via the Terminal, this error shows: "Segmentation fault" Pyt...

Re: Watching netflix on 18.2
Spearmint2, Yes, I know that Netflix has been dragging their heels for many years in allowing Linux users to view movies via Netflix, even when I (and millions of others) pay them my hard-earned $$$ to watch Netflix movies. They are not fair, in any sense. I read somewhere that the CEO of Netflix wa...

FF57 Quantum is one big PITA. Trying to play Netflix videos, it says that "pulseaudio" needs to be installed, which it is already installed. ALSA is no longer supported by the Mozilla team. Ha! ALSA worked fine before, why change it to pulseaudio and create countless new issues? Beats me. ...

I had the same issue on a Dell Latitude E6500. Solved it by plugging an audio cable from the laptop to the tv. That will work until we find a real "fix".

After dealing with this issue in LM 18.2 Cinnamon Sonya, I finally "fixed" it and now the laptop reboots and shuts down normally. 1. Edit GRUB: sudo gedit /etc/default/grub 2. Add this ADDITIONAL line to GRUB: GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="reboot=acpi" 3. Save File. 4. Update GRUB:...

Netflix on Firefox worked BEFORE upgrading to Firefox 57 Quantum. Now, when I click on a movie to play, I get the red circle spinning around forever. Google Chrome works fine. DRM is enabled, Google Widevine & the pepperflash plugins are installed. Photo of "circling": https://www.drop...

Penn, Thank you for the links, but nothing has worked on my one laptop, as I had already tried those "fixes" prior.
I will keep at it until I find the solution.

This "fix" works on both of my 10 year old laptops with Intel 945GMA graphics. Don't know if it will work for you. Both laptops are running LM18.2 Cinnamon Sonya 64-bit. Stellarium OpenGL2 Error Fix When opening Stellarium, this error message appears: "No OpenGL 2 found on this system...

Re: Stellarium crashes on boot
I have two 10-year old Dell laptops with an Intel 945GMA Graphics card (onboard) and Stellarium will not run with MESA, so I applied a "fix" that makes Stellarium run in "software mode". Works fine. I looks like you have nVidia graphics. I can't help with that, as my laptop with ...
