Re: Network Manager Problem, 802.1x Supplicant Failure

I got a dell (qualcomm) 1707 b/g/n currently. Since I dual boot, Windows 10 works perfectly fine on the internet, full signal strength wherever, but only on Linux and on a guest network does it almost randomly stops working completely (the network manager). I can not even see other networks in the a...

Re: Network Manager Problem, 802.1x Supplicant Failure

I will be updating my wireless card in a couple of months and I can not go to a newer kernel due to a cursor jump problem. Maybe the wireless card could cause it, but this is not the reason I am changing the card, I have other reasons...

Re: Network Manager Problem, 802.1x Supplicant Failure

The problem is still occurring, but now I avoid it by using Windows while at school or on a guest network. Does this not happen to anyone else? Guest networks are pretty popular and people who use them have to notice this problem.

Re: Network Manager Problem, 802.1x Supplicant Failure

This seems to only occur on some guest networks that require a portal to log into the network. :? CORRECTION: It does occur on normal networks but more seldom. Very strange...

Re: Network Access Problem, 802.1x Supplicant Failure

Linux is being temperamental at this point, it is working right now, but not sure if it's fixed or not. I haven't tried anything, what can cause this problem is my question. (restarting the network manager fixes it temporarily).

It is no longer a guest network problem, now it's happening whenever it comes out of suspend mode on any network. RIP

Re: How to boot with Dell Inspiron

I was able to install Linux onto the computer by changing the BIOS settings, disable legacy Rom, turn off secure boot, turn off fast boot, then boot from the pressing F12 to bring up the boot options, boot from UEFI, it takes some time though, and it's good from there. I didn't install Mint, I inste...

Re: How to boot with Dell Inspiron

I was running windows 10 on it before wiping it. The original BIOS settings were in UEFI mode using windows boot manager for a boot option. It will boot from usb and I can use Linux mint using the flash drive.
