Re: Email Client

I get all that stuff, I can login through there just fine, and also login on web browser, it is just the APP that gives me the error. When you get your error with thunderbird log in to your account with your browser and see if google notifies you of a new connection trying to access your account. G...

Re: Timeshift and Flatpaks: more trouble than they're worth?

FYI for anyone wanting to create an image of individual partitions or the whole drive to an external drive and find clonezilla to be difficult you can use macrium reflect as some have suggested and you don't need windows to create it.It is easier to create a flash drive with windows though. Check ou...

Re: Newbie Multi Hard Disk Install

Interesting, my previous Linux install used the whole 220 GB drive for / and before I formatted and re-installed the whole thing I only had 5% left not a good place to be Just a wild guess but did you have Timeshift snapshots saving to root? I can't see 209GB being used in root unless Timeshift was...

Re: Timeshift and Flatpaks: more trouble than they're worth?

I have revised the timeshift tutorial and I really need to just redo it when I get time. I have transitioned to pjotr or karlchen (can't remember which) suggestion to do it monthly as that is all that is really needed unless you have limits on internet usage. I just checked the size of the latest sn...

Another thing I did was to run a small program called WUB that stops Windows from updating because even if after running the debloat program Windows Update stuffs all the bloat back after running the debloat script.
In Vbox you can disable win10 access to the internet.

Re: How to reinstall MInt's XFCE on my LinuxMint 19.2

Since it is still working probably the easiest way will be to backup your important files to an external device and re-install xfce. It will be easier than trying to repair the mess you have..

Re: Partition Deletion

How well this will work, though, depends on the size of the C: partition. How large is it? Also, you're going to need to reformat it. Can be done with the installer, but I prefer to do all partition work before installation using GParted , a system app included with the live ISO. By the way, after ...

I figured I should go actually see what it did in a live session and I just did. I have never had to use a live session TS that I can remember. Never messed it up that bad.

.

In timeshift go to "settings" and then "location" and from there show it where your snapshots are. Using the browse button only allows you to look around and does not actually tell timeshift where it is.

Grsync I use a usb hdd and select all directories I wish to backup to a directory on the usb drive including the hidden .grsync fo...
