I removed the 2.8, and went to the software manager, clicked on Flatpak, typed GIMP, and version 2.10 came up. Been running it a lot with zero issues.
Same here. It's working fine.
I thought that book cover looked new.

Totally confused

A couple of years ago I bought a laptop that came with win 10 and I wiped the drive and installed Linux (multiple times) each time wiping the drive and went from msdos partition to gpt a few times trying different linux distros. Re: Linux, should it carry a mental health warning!

I am a little concerned about the effect of not being able to master Linux, is having on people. It has to be the most unintuitive learning process, I have ever encountered. Absolutely not one thing I have tried to achieve has been any kind of pleasure, everything seems to be a 'learn by stressful ...

Re: Malicious keylogger?

I'm still living High-On-The-Hog from my great great uncle in Nigeria that left me a billion dollars  I know a guy that sent his whole pay check to get his inheritance. I suggested to him to send his next check to the same place to see if they will return his first check. He is a person that ...

Re: Unable to Migrate Thunderbird Mail from Windows to Mint

One way to get it done if all else fails is to create an imap account on google or the likes and send them to it from the windows machine. Once your done you can get on linux and retrieve them. It can be time consuming.

Re: Who can maintain Linux for my wife

Kind of a depressing topic, sure it must have been discussed before but can't find anything. Any thoughts on maintaining Linux Mint on my computers when I am gone for my wife? Course no one knows when that day will occur or if I will go first. We are both in our 70's and my wife isn't computer lite...

Re: Ride-on mower battery...

I have had batteries go bad on me before and i remove it from the vehicle and cover it with an old towel or the likes then hit it with my 200amp charger. This removed the short internally and was able to use it longer. Sometimes it works and times it doesn't. I leave a battery maintainer on it when ...
