Traditional Gnome menu!

Hi,presently mint is using gnome slab menu which is excellent job.But i wish to know how to get back to traditional gnome menu like in ubuntu?Is there any easy way to do that?

Yes it is winmodem.Can you pls tell how to install it.I ve been through ubuntu forums too.But nothing found.Here is link of that thread http://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-326980.html from bios modem is already selected but still when i used those free drivers from linuxant sound not working...

Yeah right.I read many threads regarding this topic on ubuntu forum.There they are saying til date no one found proof.Even they are saying power management is same in ubuntu like in windows.For laptop i also think battery life is more important.

Hi i installed linuxant(conexant) modem drivers on my compaq v3000z laptop.1st of all i found its non free drivers and free drivers only providing ya 14.4kbps speed.N linux ant says you ve to pay for full version.Well i installed free drivers,everything went well but now it locked my sound.Does anyo...

I think it's good to try other distros. Thanks to virtualbox you can do it very easily without going through the cd burning process. I have virtual machines of the last 2 Mint releases that I like to use to get ideas. oh yes with virtual box its possible.But i ll prefer to stick on mint.Its growing...

Hi yes you can say distrowatch ranking is pointless.But here almost everyone following that only.In every forum or article they are talking with respect to that.Anyways yes true debian is faster.But buddy do you really think we should change distro often for some new feature?Thanks

Hi linuxviolin do you think we should keep trying disto after disto?Actually what i feel every linux disto has some pro and some cons.Example is suse's yast,synaptic of ubuntu n many more.Abt upgrade issue yes there should be some lit long gap in each distro.Mint is new n as it ll grow up everything...

Hi now a days almost every disto trying to shorten boot process opensuse did that perfectly now as you said sidux.Well overall mint also doing gr8 job.And as i think mint 4 ll raise up definately on distrowatch after release.There are many changes clem did in mint 4.Thanks
