Developers of Cinnamon?
Does anyone know if the Cinnamon project has a website where one can contact (via forum or otherwise) the developers of this DE? I wanna suggest a thing or two for the new version and ask them a thing or two about the old version which I'm still using. But Ducking for "Cinnamon project" op...

[SOLVED] Updating Nemo - how?
Ever since I started using Linux I figured out many other things, some of them even more complicated than a program update but there's still one I can't figure out how to do, namely - how to update Nemo . Synaptic indicates I have 3.6.4 and the latest Nemo version is 3.6.5. But the icon for the Nemo...

3rd level key suddenly stopped working
Earlier today I chose a 3rd level key in order to write a certain symbol and it did work for a few hours. But now when I use, it doesn't seem to be working. I even changed the key to a different one but it still won't work.
Any ideas?

How to make LibreOffice start with a specific theme?
I have installed a global dark theme but recently when I had to edit a 'doc' file, I noticed the icons of the program are impossible to see. Choosing another set didn't change much, so I did a Google search and found this answer: https://ask.fedoraproject.org/en/question/103944/how-do-you-turn-off-t...

Re: how to make Quora to stop show adult pictures on their home page?
+1 for uBlock Origin, if these images are ads. I've never heard of Quora before, so whether uBO can fix the problem or not, you will have to test it yourself.

Where does Krusader store its config files (Cinnamon, not KDE)?
I downloaded Krusader and made all the settings I needed but now that I wanna store them for future use, I can't find them. They're not in ~/.confg nor they are in ~/.local/share. And most definitely they're not in any of the locations mentioned here: https://docs.kde.org/trunk5/en/extragear-utils/k...

Re: When do we get Firefox 66.0.1?
I assume that the Mozilla Firefox developers give a much higher priority to fixing an open security vulnerability, than fixing a nasty technical annoyance. Which is a wrong policy because from that vulnerability will suffer only a handful of people, whereas most won't even notice it or know about i...

Re: When do we get Firefox 66.0.1?
Note: Due to a newly detected security vulnerability in Firefox 66.0.0, we can now rewrite the thread title and question as: "When will will get Firefox 66.0.1?" Cf. Firefox 66.0.1 I'm more interested in getting a fix for that sleep problem I mentioned above. I got the Firefox 66 update t...

Re: Mint 19.1 long booting time after installing nvidia driver
Thank you!! I disabled the onboard graphics in BIOS and Mint booted up normally. All the other anomalies seem to be gone as well! This was so strange because I wouldn't imagine the graphics can affect the ability to install updates. Edit the title of your first post and add a "[SOLVED]" i...

Re: Moved from 10 year old to 6 year old computer. From dual to quad core. No noticeable difference in speed.
Ideally, I would like a computer so fast that it provides the answers I seek before I have asked my question. While I am waiting for that to becomes a possibility, I will have to rebuild my current computer if I ever come to think that it is slow :) All the hardware and speeds would mean nothing, i...

Re: sudo update-grub is not working correctly for me
Wow, first off thanks for the fast response! That looks a bit too complex for my skill level, Is that the only way to fix grub? It's not hard at all. Once upon a time I used to think that too but after the first time I tried it, I changed my mind. It only looks hard and complex but it's not. ;)

Re: What's your hardware history
The First One was a Pentium IV at 2.0 GHz but it lasted less than a year - it was killed by a lightning, then I bought another PC with newer generation Pentium IV at 2.66 GHz by Hewlett-Packard which served me faithfully several years (and surprisingly still works under the management of the person ...

Re: What's with the name "Wayland" everywhere?
I always assumed the Star Wars reference came first. Considering it started in 1991 with Heir To The Empire , I think it's reasonable to assume it was the first one. I've never been a fan of Star Wars (I'm a fan of other "Star" movies and tv shows - Stargate, Star Trek), so idk about thes...

Re: sudo update-grub is not working correctly for me
IDK what exactly you've done to grub but here's the right way to fix it:
https://howtoubuntu.org/how-to-repair-r ... tu-live-cd
And if you're gonna use grub-customizer, use version 5.0.6. This is the only version that works best with Mint 18.3 without causing any errors.

What's with the name "Wayland" that keeps popping up everywhere? First there was a Wayland on almost all "Aliens", then there's a Wayland on Death Race 3 and lately this name started appearing on Linux forums and FB groups where users sometimes mention it along with a problem the...

When do we get Firefox 66.0.1?
When do we get Firefox 66 for Mint? Antergos users already have it and 65 has a nasty bug which I'm hoping it has been fixed in 66. Synaptic reads the latest available Firefox is 65.
