Re: Which browser is recommended?

Hi Charles_NL, I just read your post and the good replies to it. Here are my thoughts on this as well. The recommended or default browser for Linux Mint is Firefox and it is already installed in all editions of Linux Mint. I always recommend that people install more than one browser like Google's C...

thanks for that, but the reason for asking here is so when the question is answered more than just one person will see the answer. This is not the area for support nor for asking questions. This is for releases & announcements. Plus, stomping your feet and acting like a child doesn't foster an atmo...

I hear horror stories about "ad cleaners" so am looking for recommendations of what to do.
Backup your treasured stuff, factory reset, and don't install any software from the app store that contains ads.

not that simple and you know it. not all apps are clear about their ad policies.

Re: How can i dual boot linux mint with another Linux OS ?

Did you run the update grub in the Parrot install? If so, you should on next boot see Mint as an option too. Run it and do the same in Mint, if you prefer it to be the first boot choice. That way either system can boot both as desired. actually from the looks of the install for parrot i'd install i...

Re: Linux Mint 19.2 “Tina” Cinnamon released!

Also, death to Flatpak (and Snaps, and AppImage) If it's not in the central package repository, it doesn't belong on a system. One of the biggest security benefit of Linux is its one central package repository on a system keeping everything patched. I fear we are losing this in an attempt to placat...

Re: Can't install kubuntu-desktop on Mint 19.1 XFCE

After moving from Cinnamon to XFCE I decided I wanted at least one 'showy' Linux OS on one of my computers. I'm now running Kubuntu 18.04 on my Dell Optiplex and my word it is nice. No offence to Cinnamon users but, aesthetically at least, and regardless of amount of tweaking, Kubuntu/KDE really do...
