I also have a mouse with a lot of buttons and it's been a bit of a hassle to get it work (go to http://ubuntuguide.org/wiki/Ubuntu:Feisty#Activate_side-mouse-buttons_in_FireFox to learn how). And one thing I still didn't figure out is the wheel tilt right/left to scroll things in the browser sideway...

:D I'm up and running the thing!!!

As you said I installed all libqt3's from synaptic and that did the trick. Thanks a lot for your help and patience with me :-)

I still leave my other question open: any other apps for making flash stuff on linux? :-)

I really like this forum. It's really alive! :-) About the subject though. My confusion is mostly about the fact that ENVY doesn't say anything like "there's a new version of nvidia driver. would you like to replace the existing one?" or something of the kind. So how do I know when I should run Envy...

Thanks a lot for the reply :-) I installed a few packages in synatic but that didn't seem to be enough. I got this load of errors: make[1]: Entering directory `/home/przemek/f4l-0.2/src' g++ -c -pipe -Wall -W -g -D_REENTRANT -DQT_THREAD_SUPPORT -I/usr/share/qt3/mkspecs/default -I. -IflagStonePort/tr...

How do I update nvidia driver using ENVY?

I just noticed on nvidia.com that they have released a new version of driver for gpu's. I wonder if it's possible to update it through envy. Or if it will maybe come as an update for the system any time soon?

Thanks a lot

Making flash on Linux

Hello! I've been looking for some nice handy app that would make it possible for me to leave Adobe Flash and windows platform and do the job in Linux instead. I googled and found this project http://f4l.sourceforge.net/ . The screenshots look very nice so i thought I'd give it a try. But I have no i...

I hope I'll be able to help you out a bit. I'm also new to Mint and loving it :) 1) open Synaptic Package Manager and check if you have gnome-terminal installed (I think that's the app that might be simply missing on your system). If it's not installed install it then. 2) What I do with .mint files ...

Thank you for your replies. I simply couldn't figure it out myself whether I need a driver or not. And I guess to solve the suspend issue is just to wait :-)

Thanks a lot, tseliot! Tack sÃ¥ jätte mycket, Husse! I feel welcome on this forum :)

Hello! Recently I have installed Cassandra on my two computers (both me and my wife love it!!!) - a stationary (athlon64 3200+, nvidia 6600 512 mb) and on a laptop (HP pavilion zv 5206, Celeron 2800, ATI 9000 IGP with shared memory up to 128mb).
