Does the Calendar function allow you to set appointment reminders?
Yes, the calender has two separate areas for different appointment reminders.

Both the appointment settings on the Calender work for me just fine. There is a separate setting for: week, month, or year settings.

Re: Alarm Clock

Bob,

I just noticed that you wanted a clock with a Calender.

Under Applications, Calender, 3.28.2, is useful; but it does not have a clock. Calender is stable and easy to use. You may want to use both if possible.

Re: Alarm Clock

Currently, I use Ubuntu 18.04.

In Applications there is a GNOME, Version 3.32.0, clock that has a: World clock, Alarm, Stopwatch and a Timer.

I use it and found it useful. It has a nice looking graphic and has been stable.

Re: Linux: Tricks of the Trade -- tips from our members

Thank you for the reminder that Manuals, Guides, etc.., can change with time. As with most folks, I understand that Manuals change with time; especially as new distros, software, applications, etc... change. I will try and note on my post if a Guide may be outdated or if it for just a particular dis...

SamLearnsLinux,

Very happy to hear that your problem with the text box not appearing, or not being 'docked' is solved.
