Re: What's Your Opinion on Self-Driving Cars?

...As for autonomous driving, I fully concur with Lady Fitzgerald above. At present, they would be nothing short of a menace... While I do not feel autonomous vehicles are ready for prime time yet and won't be soon, I don't fully agree with that they would be nothing short of a menace. WAYMO has be...

Re: What's Your Opinion on Self-Driving Cars?

I like the idea of self-driving cars, especially on the open road (six to eight hour drives are getting as old as I am) but, until the technology matures more and becomes standardized, they are not ready for prime time. Also, the biggest problem facing self-driving cars are other cars being driven b...

I do not want the hidden files in /home to wind up on Data 1 and stay on the NVMe drive with the rest of Linux. Are the "other drives" in this ...

...As a sidenote, I should tell you that you should do this only to DVDs you own. Just to cover your ass legally.
Excellent advice (especially for someone with a more than ample asset like mine)!

Re: Ripping DVD's

You can watch an ISO of a DVD on your computer, but you have to use the proper program with which to do it. I am still working on figuring out which media players are best for watching DVDs, let along ISOs of DVDs. It appears that Xine is capable of playing a DVD ISO, but my particular installation...

Possibly, for some odd reason, when you highlight by dragging from left to right, "Copy" on the right click context menu behaves like "Cut". I'm guessing (and it's a wild guess) that something in the .config f...

Some cloud backup services do not allow certain file types and either block th...
