Re: which spark makes or fixes USB wireless drivers with LIN

USB is USB ! ... and is also used as ' Data-storage ' ! It's quite obvious that you have no clue what you're talking about. Mobile broadband adapters connect to the mobile phone network to provide internet access. They also often include a small amount of storage which contains software for Windows...

Irrelevant. That is for 'mobile broadband' type connections. This thread is about a USB wireless adapter.

Re: which spark makes or fixes USB wireless drivers with LIN

If you are using Mint 10 or 11 RC, you don't need to compile anything, nor do you need to use WINE. Try the following: In a terminal enter: sudo gedit /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf and then enter the root password. When the text editor opens, add the following to the end of the file: blacklist rt28...

Re: error when updatting

Try the following: English: Menu -> Administration -> Software Sources Nederlands: Menu -> Beheer -> Softwarebronnen In the drop-down menu next to 'Download from', choose 'Other', then 'Select best server'. (Nederlands: Downloaden van -> Overig... -> Beste server kiezen) This *should* fix it.

Re: help me install or run a .bin game!

It's actually quite easy when you know how :) Open a terminal, and cd to the directory that you saved the .bin to. Then enter the following commands (replacing [filename].bin with the name of your file: sudo chmod +x [filename].bin ./[filename].bin PROTIP: When using the terminal you can save time b...

Then restart X and you "should" find an "Additional Drivers" listing in the mint menu! This is already in MintMenu on a default install... In LMDE? I have never seen it. it was not installed in my system. Must have missed an update or something! Ah, bugger. I wasn't paying atten...

Re: Reverting to only Windows7 in my Desktop giving to grand

If you're certain that you want Windows 7 only, the easiest way to do it would be: 1: Use a GParted live cd ( http://gparted.sourceforge.net/ ) to remove all Linux partitions from the hard drive, and to resize your Windows partition to fill the entire drive 2: Use a Windows 7 installation CD to repl...

Replacing the heatsink on a laptop is pretty pointless, unless there is actual damage to it - unlike desktop PCs there are no alternatives, you can only fit an identical heatsink.

Re: Do you run Linux as your sole operating system?

Is that right? I thought that Outlook Express was invented by a person who was a stupid inventor. And a selfish one at that. Because whoever it was who invented it made sure that nobody could ever use it. It is as if they don't want you to use it. And why are there so many clones of Outlook Express...
