WAV file wont play

I just bought a cheap little Sanyo voice recorder model icr b130. It comes with a USB cable and a CD for Windows. I figured no problem, but thats not the case. I made a test audio file and plugged it into my Dell Vostro A9 (Mini 9) with Linux Mint 7. I copied the file to desktop, and when I tried to...

Re: Synaptic, no Openshot?

Hey, I followed the instructions, and I have Openshot on my Mint 7 now. Without these forums, Mint 7 would be doing 90% of what I need, these forums boost me over the top, and I learn. Mint is so good, its what I recommend to folks new to Linux. My daughter is thrilled with her Mini 10v with 16gb SS...

Re: Synaptic, no Openshot?

Thank you very much. One question, I checked symantic, and a couple of the dependencies are installed already. I have just downloaded the openshot deb package and dependencies package. If a couple of those dependencies are already installed, sox might have been one I saw was installed, may have been...

Synaptic, no Openshot?

Im running Mint 7 on my Dell Mini 9 with external DVD burner/player. On my backup Mini 9 I have Ubuntu 10.04 and synaptic has Openshot which I need to produce slideshow DVD's. Mint 7 is still my favorite. I have noticed that synaptic on Mint 7 is at 27011 packages or so. When I reload, nothing gets ...

Lost icons from panel

I think that after the last update, (today) I lost 2 icons from my panel. I did a cold restart, and still missing.

The ethernet icon, showing 2 green displays, showing I was connected is missing, and the Padlock (mintupdate) icon is missing.

SOLVED

I'm a nooob, a tadpole, I made my install CD from a CDR - and I also made a bootable Mint 7 USB with persistence.

As soon as I burned a DVDR with a iso and reinstalled, I have no more keyboard issues.

thanks

Keyboard/Mousepad dont work except external

At home I have a USB hub and external keyboard/mouse for my refurbished Dell Mini 9. Its OS is Mint 7.0 When I take it to town and bootup at a hot spot, the keys dont work, I cant log in. I've tried removing the battery, and rebooting many times. This happened with the stock 8gb SSD and happening ag...

Need help getting started with DVD Styler (or other apt)

Ive been using XP untill about 3 months ago. I used to make slideshow DVD's without much fuss when I was using XP. Now that I no longer have XP I started looking for a program in synaptic that can burn a slideshow DVD with jpeg's, audio clips, & music. I found DVD Styler. I've made several effor...

Re: What software to make slideshow DVD?

Thanks Richy, I tried styler once, and need to have another look. It baffled me, even tho I figured out how to add jpg's to get them in the storyboard, there were other things that stumped me.

I need to revisit styler

thanks agn

What software to make slideshow DVD?

I have only been using Linux Mint Gloria for 2 months now, and very happy with leaving Windows behind forever. Now I want to get back to producing slide show DVD's for the local public access TV channel. When I was using XP I used Nero 7 slide show program which was decent. But the best one was ProS...

Re: Evolution send/receive grayed out

Thank you! That was it. Maybe Thunderbird deals with junk email better than Evolution, I dont know. Ive only used it afew days. But Evolution learns what junk is and automatically puts it in the junk folder. TBird has not done that for me, even though I always mark junk with the flame icon, and dele...

Today the Evolution Send/Receive button quit working.

I'm using Mint 7, 2.6.28-14 on a Dell Mini 9.

Can this be fixed?
