Re: Isadora - Complete Covers Pack

Essentially you use a DVD Drive to burn an image onto a disk. It's a 'special' drive and a 'special' disk but they're about the same price (apart from the disks, 50 for £10 DVDs). You design it on the computer and then let it do it's thing.

Re: Isadora - Complete Covers Pack

These are amazing, really professional quality. I have a good mind to make an A5/A6 booklet, a copy of the GNU General Public License and give say 100 copies of it to etailers with an RRP to cover the price of making it all. Now i know i'm probably being awkward here, but is there any chance of maki...

Re: Xfce 9 Isadora development

Weren't you going to build a new computer? What happened to that?

Anyway, good luck, take your time and i think i might just change from Isadora main this time. If i can figure out how to keep all the packages i've installed...

Re: Printer Help?

Yeah, that is a possibility but for the sake of time, money and (looking less and less like it) money i thought i'd just print it off on separate sheets then stick them together. Anywho, i'm downloading the package containing KPDF now, see how that goes. Okay, a bit more research and it doesn't look...

Re: Printer Help?

Bearining in mind of course that that's 6 A4 pages, not one. 'Fit to printable area' just seems to shrink it down to one A4 page. Thing is though, since it's a diagram/blurprint it really needs to be exactly the same scale and dimensions, otherwise it doesn't work. I had thought about making it into...

Sun PDF Import Extension 1.0.1

Yup, it's there. Although i had to open it via 'other applications', it didn't appear by default if that matters at all.

Re: Printer Help?

Unfortunately that didn't work, it just gives me the box asking for 'ASCII Filter Options' like character set and then loads some random rubbish. %PDF-1.3 %쏢 5 0 obj <</Length 6 0 R/Filter /FlateDecode>> stream xK.9ׯQd[##P!####w2ȵPU##0>Ouׁ/Ro׿3ה:...

[SOLVED] Printer Help?

Well, here goes, i've got an HP Photosmart C7180 connected to a wireless router which i am connected to via ethernet. Up till quite recently it worked perfectly fine with HPLIP (the problem is the same in Mint 8, which it worked in to begin with but then stopped, Ubuntu 10.04 and Mint 9), but for so...

Re: Peppermint OS

Usually it levels out to 60kb/s if i'm lucky... that's something i've been meaning to ask though, is that normal? Speedtest usually says i get 0.5MB/s download and 0.35MB/s upload, but my actual download speed rarely goes over 60kb/s. I know i could improve it (and will) by changing ISP (from Virgin...

First one at the bottom, it's gone up to 5 now but it hasn't done much for the speed. I'd stay on and seed it but it wouldn't really do anyone any good.

Re: Peppermint OS

True, but SWAP isn't really usable RAM. It's just somewhere to store processes while the OS frees up actual RAM.

Re: Peppermint OS

Do you have more than 4GB Virtual Memory? Also, i don't know of any Linux applications that even come close to using up my 2GB RAM. Of course there's folding, but i'm not sure if it would run on this setup.
