Re: how can i run dos!

I use dosbox for some work related dos programmes and it runs them without a hitch!
I think it was intended for games, however i've never tried any games in it.

Re: How to copy something with terminal, as root.

I think that would be:

Code: Select all

sudo cp /home/adam/Desktop/yam-linux/libfmodex.so.4.02.05 /usr/lib/

Re: Making an ISO of Daryna

you can also use k3b to make an iso image from a bootable cd.
just use the copy cd option, check "only create image" ,choose your output path,
then choose start.
instead of burning a cd it will create an iso image.

Re: I have ton say I am dissapointed with 4.0

I was especially disappointed since I can run Celena flawlessly. Ahhh, I did not know THIS. then I think your solution is easy: why not stick with Celena???????? nobody says you have to upgrade every time! besides Celena just came out what, a month ago? ok, so you tried Daryna it didn't like your h...

Re: Live CD Won't work

To check md5 in windows I think you need third party software. here's a link to one I found with google:
http://www.fastsum.com/

I dont know how good it is becouse I don't use windows!

like boo, I would also recommend burning as slow as possible.
it may be worth a try :D

Re: I have ton say I am dissapointed with 4.0

Someone asked if I bought Mint. Id like to adress this point, since whenever any user complains that linux is not working someone chimes in with this. this is not the point I was trying to make. the point I was trying to make is in the 3 posts above this one! they just say it a lot better than I do...

Go to control center, choose appearance preferences, select customize.
then under controls try mist! it makes everything transparent exept your
window list when open.

The extreme customizability (does such a word exists? ) is one, the "native" applications are another: try K3B, Ktorrent, KPDF, Kexi, Krita and others. this is exactly why I like kde!! I know this is biased, so I tried PCLinuxOS today, the installation was ok, obviously not as polished as t...

Registered just to give my 2 cents. One of the reasons why i totally fell in love with Mint (gnome version) was the NON-gnome menu. I immediatly thought "god i wish i could get KDE with this kind of menu". So far ive found Mint to be superiour to any other distro ive tried when it comes to tidyness...
