DVD iso burn

I downloaded an iso file. The specifications called it a CD image, but it is 1.5 gb in size, so that means I have to put it on a DVD, right? I can't see where the CD/DVD Creator in Mint will burn a dvd iso. Do I have to install something like k9copy mentioned in another post? Thanks.

Desktop Enterprise: open SUSE 0, Linux Mint 1

This reviewer started out installing openSUSE to test as a desktop enterprise solution. The result: He wound up installing LinuxMint 2.0!

I don't think there will be any way around it. It's mostly a hardware thing. You need an HD DVD or BlueRay drive, an HD capable graphics card and a HDMI or DVI to HDMI cable. To watch in HD you also need a monitor or TV with HDMI input.

BTW, I installed NVU yesterday through the Synaptic package manager. Not as quite as fancy as Dreamweaver, but it looks very good for designing web sites. It is wysiwyg, and sooo much cheaper than DW (its free!).

I'm sure Mint can always stay a few steps ahead of whatever Ubuntu decides to implement. Mint is an OS for the real world. (Hey, that makes a good catch phrase!)

These are nice cases with plenty of room, for less than $40 with a 400 watt power supply. Is that a carrying grip underneath the CD/DVD drive? Yes. A plastic handle folds out from just below the blue temperature indicator. The case is fairly large for a small form factor and cooling is very good (2...

http://i117.removed/albums/o68/kenetics2/LinuxBox1.jpg Nothing fancy, just an Ultra Micro Fly case and some old parts (P-4 1.6) that I put together during the holidays. Works well and doesn't take up much space. I hope to upgrade the monitor before long. One of 5 computers for the 4 of us, the only...

I installed Edgy on my Win XP computer but it wouldn't install on my newly built one. Mint installed without a problem. It was either my cd combo drive spinning too fast (sounded like a tornado!) or a problem with my SiS on-board video on the new box. The cd drive went slower with Mint. I did have t...

Nice story, thanks for sharing. When I put my micro ATX computer together I was going to make it a dual boot, but Linux Mint worked so well I decided to keep it all Linux (I already had a windows machine). Who needs to spend $100 or more for a buggy OS? I know very little about Linux terminal comman...

Just put together a micro ATX linux box from mostly old parts (P4 1.6, cheap pcchips board, old ram, etc.). I Couldn't get Ubuntu edgy to install without errors, so I downloaded Linux Mint Bea and it loaded right up. Had to do a little work to get the on-board SiS 661 video working properly (I'm new...
