Re: changing screen resolution on HP mini 2133

Have you tried just setting the resolution that is set at 1280x800 to your monitors native resolution?

I like that conky, you mind posting the conkyrc config? I would live to make one of my own based off of it.

Re: Mint LXDE CE (not official)

I did not post it as I was not sure if Clem wanted me to announce it yet, but if you are posting it, then I guess it is ok. I am going to start working on things with the new release, and am going to use some of what I have already done, and hopefully, with the new Ubuntu, there will be more tools a...

Re: How to get Nvidia Cards Reolution set

this is the reason, Section "Device" Identifier "Device0" Driver "nvidia" VendorName "NVIDIA Corporation" BoardName "GeForce4 Ti 4600" EndSection That card is a legacy card, Im not positive, but I think the config works a bit differently for legacy. Instead of using the nvidia-settings, try using sc...

Re: Reinstall Mint

reinstalling to a second hard drive will not cause a problem, as long as when you install, you tell it to install grub to the MBR, (master boot record) which is the default action anyway. So you should not have any issues reinstalling mint to another HDD.

Re: Should there be a Mint LXDE CE?

come on, 73 views and only 9 votes? I really need input on this, if you don't think there should be another Linux CE, then vote no, but if I don't get any input, and only this many votes, then there may not be an LXDE:CE. If this happens, then I may work on something on my own, but it will not have ...

Should there be a Mint LXDE CE? (Vote closed)

Ok, I need to gauge interest in a Mint LXDE CE, to see if it is worth having yet another Mint CE. I think the place for this would be between XFCE, and Fluxbox, as it is much lighter than XFCE, and thus, much better suited to low power machines, or netbooks, but provides a more complete gui than Flu...

did you try using envy? if not, do this, sudo envyng -t remove the current driver, reboot, and run it agian to install the driver. I have been having issues with my laptop, which uses an ati card, and the only thing that seems to install the driver correctly is envy. There is an issue with the new X...

I know, I have been working on it for about a month already, and still have a ways to go. I would actually like to talk to you, as I think I could learn a bit from you about how to reconfigure the mint tools for LXDE/OpenBox.

Re: LXDE CE?

It uses Wicd for the network manager, as it seems to be the best wireless network manager so far. Though i have already decided to make a change, compiz is not going to be installed by default, instead XCompmanager will be used. There are few reasons for this, 1 is that LXDE is meant to be light, an...

Re: LXDE COMMUNITY EDITION

Hi, I am currently using the Linux Mint 6 Fluxbox CE and everything works out of the box so far... including wireless. I was wondering if there will be a Linux Mint 6 LXDE CE since it seems that LXDE is becoming more popular nowadays with good reviews. I love the Fluxbox CE and would like to ask if...

I almost have an alpha iso ready for the testing team if it gets the green light, the mint tools are installed, and functionin...
