Re: Linux Mint 8 on ASUS Eee 701. Wireless not working.

I must be blind, or something.
Why have I not seen the Fn F2 keys ???
After pressing Fn F2, the wireless works, just like that !!!

Re: Linux Mint 8 on ASUS Eee 701. Wireless not working.

I guess the Wifi-light goes on when the Wifi works. So now it is off, since the Wifi does not work.
I don't know any other way to turn it on.

Linux Mint 8 on ASUS Eee 701. Wireless not working.

I have installed Linux Mint 8 on an ASUS Eee 701. I installed it on a 16GB SD-card instead of the 4GB internal drive.
Everything works well, except for the wireless networking. To get internet access I have to plug in the eth0 cable, but I want the wireless to work.
Please help me out.

Re: SD (Secure Digital) card reader will not find, nor mount.

The SD-card capacity seams to matter. After booting the computer normally, then i could insert the 16MB card and it was detected and mounted correctly, but the 4GB card was not. If I, after a new reboot, insert the 4GB card it is not detected, nor mounted. And then not the 16MB card either. As if th...

Re: SD (Secure Digital) card reader will not find, nor mount.

It is formatted in the camera and I don't know what file system the camera use. It is unknown to me how the 16MB card was formatted in the first place, but I just formatted it in the camera and now that card can not be detected either. So, maybe it has to do with the camera file system. But, the CF-...

Re: SD (Secure Digital) card reader will not find, nor mount.

It is a Multi-Card Reader, that looks just like this one: http://www.aitoutlet.authsafe.com/images/isimages/DHCRU6370IB.jpg So, it is mounted in the computer and connected internally with an USB cable. I have not used the reader in any other computer, so I don't know if the problem would occur there...

SD (Secure Digital) card reader will not find, nor mount.

I use Linux Mint 8
SD (Secure Digital) card reader will not find, nor mount, the SD card.
CF (Compact Flash) cards are found and mounted with no problem at all.
The reader is USB connected and accept 4 different kind of cards.

How can I make Mint (or Ubuntu) find and mount my SD cards ?

NVIDIA X Server Settings

I have just installed Linux Mint 8 on a computer having Nvidia GeForce 8100 graphics. The display is a Samsung SyncMaster 720N (1280x1024). Almost everything is just perfect. Only one thing is a problem. The default server setting seams to be 60Hz VertRefresh. That cause a shift of the displayed are...
