Ede. First I'm glad to see things begining to form out of the fog. Second I'm not up much on linux. But how about an article on grub. Seems a lot of people have problems with it. I might be willing to hack something up. Not that I'm really a linux wiz or anything. But as a newbie I desire the knowle...

Maty: Go for it. I'll bet you've got a huge work load with this tho. (Spanish Mod, E17, weekly newsletter, mintpodcast and who nows what else.) If you can do it Maty. You deserve a big round of applause. :) I admire go getters. Maybe we should put you as the chief in the English side also. :D Just k...

Just wondering if we should have some kind of an agreed on purpose or Idea to start from. What kind of info do we want for the Mag. Will this be focused for new users or experienced users or does it matter? Do we want a theme element for each issue? If so What might we want to concentrate on for the...

Marty I believe you or someone on the Spanish forum will need to use Scribus. The English content will have to be translated and then placed in the templates in Scribus. At least this is my assumption. Would be willing to help out there if you need. Estoy listo para ayudarte en lo que puede. Gusto v...

I understand completely what you are saying and I understand how easy it is supposed to be. I try to explain better. I did a new install of celena on a different hard drive. After it was installed. And tried, it came up good everything worked. I booted to Cassandra and copied my complete /home folde...

I have two hard drives that I work with. So Cassandra runs on one and Celena runs on the other. It's easy enough after having installed celena to copy the home folder from Cassandra, and that's just what I did. Thats when all hell broke loose. It's not just copying standard folders. that went well. ...

yes

I think update manager should be installed by default but that the user should have the choice to turn it on. Also the choice as to which types of updates they want to monitor, ie security updates or general updates. Life is all about choice. Lets not take life away from the people just because some...

Moving day

Love the work on mint. Celena is no exception. Good job. Only found one area where I think mint could shine above the rest. I have been using Cassandra, but I like challenges so I down loaded Celena. My work came when I wanted to move my home directory from Cassandra to Celena. Wow. Never seen anyth...

usb drive

Running liveCD of Celena and on my computer it wont mount a usb multi card reader.

Just keeps saying it's unmountable.
If I take the card out and plug it in in cassandra it comes right up and reads fine.

Any Ideas.

You may consider this a little ignorant, but I come from Windows and am just begining to get my feet wet with Linux. If I reinstall for celena. Is it possible to move my home folder over to celena from cassandra and not lose what I have. Or do I have to reinstall also all the programs that I use? Wh...
