That would be Guake terminal. Unfortunately, I've found myself unable to scroll downwards, to read the portions of text beyond the bottom of the screen. Is there a setting I've neglected to adjust?

See if this works better for ya.[download link] Sorry, but they weren't the same shade of orange. More brownish, actually. But thanks for trying to fix the problem. I ended up getting the dark grey version of the update icons, and changing the panel and menu to the light colour; it's worked a treat...

Wish I knew how to do that. I only have the notification icons to tell whether the net's connected or not. There's a network monitor applet in Synaptic, but it doesn't change colour to match the Orta theme.

A new setup to mark my complete transition from Ubuntu (and its derivatives) to Linux Mint Xfce. I'm not too thrilled with the direction Ubuntu or GNOME are going in, so it's time to diverge. http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5159/5876492041_54a2b37d34_t.jpg Linux Mint Debian Edition by transitmapsetc ...

Re: Why did you switch to linux mint?

I changed from ubuntu to Linux Mint, mainly on account of the update manager and its rating system. Some updates on my Ubuntu 10.04 install trashed the theming, so I tried 11.04 and found that wanting (even the Classic desktop ended up going beserk), and have defected to Mint 9 (the last LTS). Good ...

Re: Unofficial Post Your Linux Mint Desktop Thread

Thanks! Sometimes less is more (as clichéd as that sounds). Having tried Mint 11 a day or so ago. I found it a little buggy, and the graphics sluggish. So I'm being a "late adopter", staying with Mint 9 (the last LTS) for at least a month, when a lot of the bugs in Mint 11 will probably be ironed ou...

Re: Unofficial Post Your Linux Mint Desktop Thread

Fairly minimal tweaks to my Mint 9 install, getting the latest LTS looking as good as Mint 10.

Theme: Mint-X-Metal
Icons: Mint-X-Faenza.

Wallpaper

Ubuntu Font is available through the Software Manager.

Terminal colours match the theme: Text #ACCD8A, background #212121.

Well, that's pretty much how it looks out of the box! Just a couple of minor tweaks, otherwise it's a real credit to the graphic design team.
