Kde packages are in the LATEST repo of LMDE?

The best thing you could have 11 would be mint kde live cd instead of the live DVD. Many pre-installed software may not be included on the DVD as installable in a second time at the discretion of the users. In addition, the porting of mint-tools in qt would be a dream. Per esempio non esiste il porting del flash player di adobe per i sistemi a 64 bit. Non so se mint avendolo già preinstallato risolve qualcosa. Certamente se hai 4 gb di ram e installi un sistema a 32 bit ti mangi 1 gb di memoria.

Se hai difficoltà con la versione dvd perchè non provi ad usare la versione livecd che pesa 674 mb e nel cd ci sta bene bene? Puoi benissimo installare mint dal live cd e poi, se hai bisogno di software presente solo nel dvd, te lo puoi installare in un secondo momento tramite apt.

Ho visto lo screenshots e devo dire che sta nuova kde ce è davvero bella da vedere, spero che non sia farcita di applicazioni gtk... forse kubuntu dovrebbe imparare da mint xD

IMO with 512MB you don't really need to worry about a lightweight distro davedarkblade ; I have the main Gnome edition of Mint running fine on an eeePC that has 512MB. I used the main version until the release of Isadora. Isadora gave me a problem: gnome didn't appear. Ubuntu give this problem too ...

Forse ti conviene aspettare la versione ufficiale di mint 9 kde perchè se provi ad installare kde da synaptic ti ritroverai con kde liscio e non quello personalizzato dal team di mint kde. Se hai dai 4 gb in su di ram ti conviene usare i 64 bit perche i sistemi a 32 bit leggono fino a 3 gb e poi dipende se hai un processore compatibile con i 64 bit.
