Anyone more knowledgeable, please feel free to correct me, but my understanding is that the Debian developers maintain more than one group of repositories, one each for each respective 'flavor' of Debian. So the stable distro is tied into the stable repos as a matter of course, with the testing repo...

Re: Mic not found in Mint 8

Re: forgive me for asking :)

As far as I'm aware, not in Mint 8. Some distros do include Cheese as a default application upon installation, but some won't due to the limitations of size for a Live CD. Installing it afterwards is easy enough, just depends on the developer's preferences.

Re: Converting video files from ogv to mpeg

Ah, that did it. Chopped a few seconds of the end of my video, but that can be fixed pretty easily. Thank you so much for your help.

Re: Converting video files from ogv to mpeg

I installed winff, and tried to run it, but no luck. Converting video files from ogv to mpeg *Solved*

Hello. I was attempting to upload a short video I recorded using Cheese to Youtube, and apparently the "ogv" format isn't accepted. I looked around for a way to change the video recording format to something else, preferably mpeg, but to no avail. Any guidance on this issue would be most a...
