Problems customizing GUI in Isadora

Hello Mint folks, I hope I'm not repeating stuff that's already been posted. I looked extensively here and on google to no avail. I also hope this is the appropriate forum for my questions. I started with Mint when I discovered Helena. WOW! Flawless! However, I decided to go with Isadora when it cam...

Re: No startup sounds

Yeah, they're still there. If you read one of my earlier posts, you'll see that I tried to add them to "Startup Items." This isn't a huge deal but, I'm of the extreme OCD type that likes things to work like they're supposed to. :P I suppose if I can't come up with a fix, I'll just wait 'till Isadora...

Re: No startup sounds

There is no "play alert sound" check box. However, there is an alert volume slider (it's at 100%) and a mute check box (unchecked).

Re: No startup sounds

LinuxMint sound theme is already selected. LinuxMint sound theme is the only one even available for selection.

No startup sounds

Hello, I don't know what I did but, I somehow have lost my startup sounds. Both the system ready "tink" sound when first starting and the "logged in" sound are gone. All other system sounds work. I have the "sounds play with button push" enabled and sounds do indeed emit when a button is pushed. All...

Just Fed Up with it all!

<rant> Got a new HP Pavillian dv8 entertainment PC about a month ago. Windows 7 Professional pre-installed. It started doing weird things last night. I'd push the start button and the OS would never start. I would be confronted with a blank screen. I had to hard reboot and then Windows would start. ...

Re: how to edit mintMenu?

So, maybe this is version specifc? I'm running Mint 8 (Gloria). Anyhow, I've noticed the the Software Manager's icon in my Mint Menu looks like a yellow star. However, in gtype's screen shot and some others I've seen on the web, it's the Linux Mint icon. Any way to make mine minty fresh? :D

Re: Wallpaper sans logo?

Thanks guys,

Yep. Poured over both those sites before I posted and came up empty. Plenty of "Fresh" desktops but, none without a minty logo.

Wallpaper sans logo?

Hello, I'm new here. Came over from several years of Ubuntu. I am LOVIN' me some minty freshness! :D Quick question though; is there somewhere I can get the "Fresh" desktop background image without the Linux Mint logo? I've spent about 2 hours searching these forums and gooling with no results. http...
