Re: No Data In Weather Applet

I almost assumed this was a old post
Because
the weather plugin (Xfce panel) works as expected in LMint 15 Xfce version. And I believe it was backported into the LTS version (LMint 13). Try reinstalling the plugin in 'synaptic package-manager! :?

Re: [Solved] DVD Player Not Always Working

I would 1st test. Get daemon running. hit alt-F2, for command type 'udisks-glue' (without qoute) thats it. Then try USB/CD/DVDs ect. If works for you in control center or setting manager (Xfce :D ) click the one called startup apps (in Xfce its session and startup). click to add in name call it anyt...

Re: Cant even Start with Linux

You need a CPU that supports PAE, I don't think Pentium M does. I could be wrong though. Yes some M series will not run a PAE kernel. Some thou only won't install but will run from a cloned partition (clonezilla) that acually has a PAE kernal. (I have a M based based (ancient) tablet that will run f...

Re: Can't access or eject (some) USB storage after UP 7 [SOL

May want to try... had issue of cds and dvds not showing up. Installed package 'udisks-glue'. Its a daemon so test it by running (I use alt+F2) and see if works for your needs. Then can put it in the 'startup apps list' (as a custom command works) J.Jay Seems to plague me in most recent Debia...

Re: No DVD Automount after Update 7 (SOLVED)

install package 'udisks-glue'
and stick command in auto-start applications

seems to work for me in LMDE (mate DE)
But
Not fully if use other DE (I like Xfce) :P
So test command (its a daemon) before sticking in auto-start

Hopes Help

Frostwire in LMDE?

Will 'frostwire' become available in LMDE again?
even the on on web doesn't run, and the older versions are discontinued and don't work properly (will install thou)
I believe it's cause they need a newer 'Java' not yet available in debian.

Thank You

I wish also 'onboard' would be available in LMDE but its developed by Ubuntu and hasn't yet been ported to debian (its flakey also, in debian as is) like some others given to debian (by Canotical). You can search the 'software manager' with virtual keyboard tag! Their are a couple (watch the dependc...

Re: Resizing windows difficult

One way I found to make it easier to resize windows is to use Alt-F8, which snaps the mouse pointer to the resize position in the lower-right corner of the window. Then I can drag and resize the corner of the window. I found this in Settings/Window Manager/Keyboard tab. Thanks thats the one (listed...

The different 'themes' have diferent properties. Try other theme for the window manager. (I need a larger/bolder one because of old eyes and shaking hands  ) I also make the mouse Icon bigger then default. Also there's a way to do it using the keyboard I think.
