Sorry to be dense, but why not the same way as the repos used are the same.

Daryna Studio ?

Hi, As Ubuntu Gutsy has the ability to "change" into Ubuntu Studio by downloading a few packages from the repos will I be able to create a Mint Daryna Studio when it is released ?

Now that would be cool !

Xfce Daryna edition

I have been trying for a while to get a linux to "like" my old Toshiba portege with only 128 Mb RAM. I managed to get the new Xubuntu 7.10 installed by using the "alternate" install CD.
Would be nice to be able to install Xfce Mint in the same way.

Tried the live Cd of Gutsy yesterday evening on another PC and had a problem with a black screen. There seems to be some work arounds but if Mint shows this behaviour then newbies will be put off.

 Puppy Linux is actually pretty cool for what it is. The reason I was looking at the puppy forum in the first place was to see if I could get a solution to the problem of puppy not recognising the video card on my old toshiba portege - many other distros designed to be for use on low end comp...

Someones rant against Mint - unstable ?
