Re: idea: use Iceweasel instead of supporting own Firefox

Iceweasel works great for me.. My main is Chrome.
Very seldom I hit a site that 'asks" for Internut Exploder. Iceweasel slices through it.

The most stable version of Mint there ever was, or ever will be, is #10.
If you want to ride the coattail of Debian Pure, the easiest and most stable is SalineOS.
OH ! IMO

Re: LMDE is shaping up into a nice distro

Just go get salineOS and forget the fluff. I still have Mint10 on a few machines but salineOS is smoking fast and every bit as stable as mint 10.

If you think some little add ons or a browser change is going to keep The Great Satan from obtaining your online activities you are only kidding yourself.
There is no such thing as " privacy" online. It's a great marketing idea. Nada mas.

Vector if you want light and fast. It's Slackware but tweaked Slack. Not at all unlike LMDE is to Debian. The guys that build it fixed all the config BS, like Clem did with LMDE. It flat out works but takes a bit of knowledge to install certain programs. I really like it and when 7.0 gets a final rel...

I think I'll stay with multi-booting toys and use Mint 10 as my main system for the next several years like I did with Xandros beta 2.If it isn't broke leave it the duck alone.
