Re: Changing graphic of the xfce-panel separator

Hmm, if you don't see the options with dropdown box to make the separator transparent, line, handle and others, then I'm guessing the theme doesn't support anything more than what you already have. If you're looking for a config file, good question! I'd like to find the same for the Places app. Sor...

Re: Changing graphic of the xfce-panel separator

You can right click on the separator and go to properties. Select the style you want. Hello! Thanks for answering. I know of this method already hence the picture with the two styles "Dots" and "Separator" :o But I want to change the graphics of it altogether, with a new style! This is what I'm won...

Changing graphic of the xfce-panel separator

Hello everybody! I have been trying to poke around my system to find the graphics file for the separator, used in the XFCE-panel. Take a look at this screenshot: http://www.zimagez.com/miniature/screenshot-02062012-011131pm.php and look how amazingly ugly they look, the different separators (they ar...

[SOLVED] Weird non-texturing of notification area

Hello everybody! I'm running Linux Mint Debian Edition with XFCE, and all the latest updates. I'm using this GTK-3 theme called SLAVE-GTK3 http://half-left.deviantart.com/art/SLAVE-GTK3-256366787 I'm only using it for buttons etc, the window frames are another theme called Axe, which I found on xfce...

Re: Update Pack 3 Released! Update Information

Is Gnome 3 included in this update, or is it just GTK3. I'm curious since if it is, then I must have done something wrong. Gnome-session --version still reports 2.30.2, where as gnome-terminal and system monitor (plus a few other packages) reports 3.01. Maybe I did something wrong during the update ...

Re: How to fix bootup resolution for LM9

Think this would work for LM8 as well? :) Been trying to get a higher ress console (u know the ones u get when you press ctrl+alt 1-6) and so far only resolutions up to 1600x1200 works (vga=799 at kernel boot) and not widescreen mode :( and it complains that vga is depricate and I should use set gfx...

Re: gnome wont start when I log in

Hi, To get gnome working again, you will need to resolve package dependency problems. The simplest way is to run sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get dist-upgrade Afterwards, you should be working good as new. In the future if you need to check for package problems sudo apt-get -o Debug::pkgProblemReso...

Re: gnome wont start when I log in

Thank you everyone for your advices! "What are you typing to get into your Gnome GUI? I have tried to get into it but with no success. I have been able to log into Window Maker and use xterm, in both of the kernels that I have installed which are both the Main MInt 8 x64 edition." I type gnome-sessi...

[SOLVED] gnome wont start when I log in

Hello! I have run into a little problem with my Linux Mint 8, getting gnome-session to start after login (or startup, as I don't have the login active it just boots and logs in automatically) All I get is an xterm window and I have to start gnome-session manually. This is what I have done to mess it...
