You don't run Imagemagick per se as a GUI app. As Leit said earlier, from a command line you type: convert inputfile.png outputfile.jpg You could either put the entire path in or you could just open terminal in the folder where you input file is. try sudo apt-get install imagemagick than you should be able to use convert inputfile.png outputfile.gif (or something) in the Terminal ~Leit I have imagemagick installed but can't find it anywhere. Guys, I think I've nailed it. It's definitely a kernel issue and I am not the only one from what I read elsewhere. Prior to kernel 2.6.28 audio works on this Samsung Q1 Tablet PC. Any kernels from 2.6.28 onwards will not recognize my sound card and therefore won't play sound no matter what. I've pro...

Have you checked in the alsamixer to make sure that the device is not muted and/or turned all the way down? Enter this in a terminal. alsamixer Check to make sure the output fader are turned up and not muted. At the bottom of the fader you should see OO if the output is not muted and MM if it is. s...

Installed Mint9 on Samsung Q1 Tablet PC 2005 Edition and running smoothly except no audio. Any ideas? Please help. TIA
I should add that other distros are not affected, namely Mandriva 2009.1, PCLOS 2009.1, OpenSuse, all pre 2010 versions.
