Can you type here the exact type of the printer u have?
I'll try to find a correct know-how for the installation.

Re: Full disk encryption ????????

As I mentioned in my other post, IMHO , one of best install scenarios as well as the support of encryption has Debian ( Squeeze ). And as for /boot, I've read that only TrueCrypt but for window$ /version, not for linux/ can even encrypt 'boot'. See their webpage. But this is "the only + " for win$. ...

Re: Question Reading Brother installation instructions.

All info is in those black boxes, just ignore the 2 of them with rpm.
The black screen is terminal. Simply type the first line, slap Enter and compare the results with those in the black boxes.

Re: Is there such a thing as clearing faulty installations?

I don't know how you 'installed' it but you could try run in terminal:

sudo dpkg --configure -a
sudo apt-get clean
sudo apt-get autoremove
sudo apt-get autoclean

Re: IP address randomizer?

You can also use FoxyProxy add-on for Firefox and/or Iceweasel browser.
And look up some free proxies IPs on the net, to put in into that add-on.
