i already have the official nvidia drivers installed, i always install them after i install any distro. i was just saying that including the nvidia drivers in a distro is a good idea since nvidia is popular and the official drivers work so well.

why not take out mplayer, movie player, and amarok and replace them all with VLC?

vlc can play pretty much everything that all those can play and it works well on my system. i even use the nightlies without issue. it would save a lot of room and simplify a lot.

a naming scheme is a good idea when a kde and xfce version of linux mint comes out. my sugestion is maybe just tack on -kde or -xfce on the end of the name, like: linux mint versionname-gnome linux mint versionname-kde linux mint versionname-xfce that way it is easy to tell even to the newest of use...
